Lifeplan

Campos do Jordão State Park LTER is one of the sites selected to participate in the LifePlan project.

The raison d'être of the LifePlan Project is to generate the data, methods and conceptual synthesis needed for a new understanding of global biodiversity. Research teams across 200 globally distributed sites use a common simple protocol to collect e-DNA, audio and image data, using five sampling techniques. A specialist team is developing automated taxon recognition methods for creating a global biodiversity database for the data collected. A team of statisticians is developing the statistical tools required for interpreting the data.
